Vaginal Odor From Fish Oil?
Hello, I've been happily enjoying some of the positive side effects of Omega 3 6 9 for a couple of years now. However, realizing that a vaginal odor was a result of the fish oil, I stopped taking it - mainly so that I could prove to myself that it was, indeed, the fish oil.
I subsequently heard a woman on the Dr. Oz program ask about the same thing. I was extremely happy to know that I was not the only one. However, Dr. Oz did not provide a good remedy, except to suggest that perhaps an 'enteric' version might be helpful.
Hopefully, someone else has encountered this problem and has a resolution.
Thanks,

Instead of stopping fish oil, I would advise you make 2 changes: first, eliminate your omega 3 6 9 ingestion and switch to omega 3 fish oil only. There are several reasons for this but mainly because what you are trying to achieve with omega 3 is to balance your omega 6 /omega 3 ratio to a closer 1/1, but if you add more omega 6 you are adding more inflammation to your body. Please read Omega 3 6 9
Second, try a good quality molecularly distilled fish oil, like the one we offer here, it should provide you all fish oil benefits hopefully without any side effects.
Start with 900 mg per day of omega 3 fats (EPA plus DHA from the label) if you are at your ideal weight and with no degenerative diseases, take more if you are overweight, with diabetes, high blood pressure, high triglycerides, etc. Read Omega 3 Fatty Acids Dosage
Please, let me know what happens.
