Tourrette's Syndrome And Fish Oil

Fish oil and Tourette's Syndrome

Fish oil and Tourette's Syndrome

How much omega 3 does my 13 year old son need in mg. He has tourette syndrome and adhd.

Thanks

Answer

I would answer that a 13 years old boy normally needs 2-3.000 mg per day of fish oil, depending if he is fully developed and at normal weight. If he has some behavioral conducts I would double that amount, that is close to 6.000 mg of fish oil, some 1.800 mg of omega 3 fats (EPA plus DHA on the label).

Again, it depends on several other factors to see some results. Normally, you need mega doses of omega 3 (in the 3.000-5.000 mg per day of omega 3 fats) to see changes in things related to the mind. Other factors that affect your possible results are the amounts of omega 6 he ingests (they counteract omega 3) and the time he spends doing exercise.

If he adopts healthy eating and exercise habits along with the omega 3, it would optimize his brain function.

My Cure For Tourette's
by: Anne

I was inflicted with Tourette's around the same age and I also had ADHD. I was given Fishers Phospherine drops two or three times every day for several months. It cured it and the Tourette's never inflicted me again. The tourette's I had was not mild either, so whatever is in this therapy, worked wonders for me thirty years ago.
