Soy Side Effects - Soy Milk with Omega 3-6
Question:
Soy Side Effects . I have been using soy milk with omega 3-6 for 4 months with my baby because she is lactose intolerant. What do you say?

"omega 3 is more important in infancy and old age"
Answer:
Anything with soy has the negative effect of unbalancing your hormones. It has hormones-likes substances that simulate human sex hormones. No good for adults much less for a baby.
Some people have the idea that soy is a healthy food, specially good for the heart and hormones. It may be important to warn these people about soy’s negative influence in cardiovascular and hormonal health. It can increase homocystein and mimic estrogen hormones.
But what can we say about the noise we hear in the media these days about soy for cholesterol?. A careful review of the studies suggest that soy is not an effective way to lower cholesterol.
As a matter of fact, as more evidence started to show the American Heart Association (AHA) is backing in its recommendation to eat some soy. A studies review in the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism concluded that soy components have no major impact in cholesterol.
Nevertheless, there are several foods that can help to improve your cholesterol. Specially almonds. A recent study in men showed that raw or roasted almonds helped to improve cholesterol in 4 weeks.
Regarding Omega 6, I would say you are not doing your child a favor. The reason we have to supplement with omega 3 is that modern nutrition has 20 to 50 times less omega 3 that what it should have to keep us healthy because of the omega 6 overload in our dietes. If on top of that you are adding an omega 6 supplement you are making things worse.
All body cells have a membrane. Each membrane is mainly made of essential fats, or essential fatty acids, Omega 6 and Omega 3. If the membrane has too much Omega 6 it becomes hard, viscous and there are problems for the food, energy and hormone transfer.
When Omega 3 is sufficient the membrane is thinner, less viscous, more elastic, less inflamed. Too much 3 Omega and the membrane “drips”. Too much Omega 6 and is clogged. It has been established that the appropriate Omega 6/Omega 3 ratio is near 1:1. In our modern life this ratio has changed to around 20:1, and some times up to 50:1
