Omega 3 and Omega 6 fats in Peanut Butter Diet

Question:
Peanut Butter Diet. So, I’m trying to do the healthy guy thing, and I’m eating lots of fruits and veggies and avoiding sweets. Anyway, I was trying to find what Peanut Butter would be best to eat with my celery sticks (i know peanut butter isn’t great for you but.....), and I bought one with "OMEGA 3 and OMEGA 6" fats. Then at home, I noticed that there are 200 calories in the Omega stuff and only 140 calories in the regular reduced fat stuff that I had left over from before.

"Omega 3 ALA is a Precursor of Omega 3 EPA and DHA. ALA is found in vegetables, EPA and DHA in Animals. These last are the forms humans asimilate it from"
Answer:
That sounds strange. No vegetable has omega 3 EPA and DHA acids, which are the ultimate usable form by our body. It may have some (most of the times very few) ALA, a precursor of EPA and DHA( the real thing).
Omega 3 fatty acids are divided in three, Docosahexaenoic acid, or DHA, Eicosapentaenoic acid, EPA, and Alpha Linolenic Acid, ALA. Each one has a different structure but our body can make EPA and DHA from ALA, that is from flaxseed and some other few vegetables. That is why you see products that are advertised as containing Omega 3 fatty acids, coming from a vegetable source.
The problem here is that the conversion of ALA to EPA and DHA, which is the only way our body can use it, is very inefficient, about a 10-15%. That is also the reason why the majority of Omega 3 fatty acids consumed, EPA and DHA, come from animal sources, mainly fish. Fatty fishes are specially rich in omega 3 fatty acids.
You can see a better explanation at
What is Omega 3.
Some manufacturers when they want to sell their products they just add Omega 3. It could even be sulphuric acid with omega 3 and some people would buy it.
If you want to eat peanut butter it is OK but you should be aware that if you take it, it is not going to correct you omega 3 to omega 6 unbalance, or make you healthier.
The best source of omega 3 is fish oil, cod liver oil or krill oil, the others are in dispute.
It's likely that you... like most of us, take dietary supplements of one type
of another. But, do you really know if you are receiving the benefits that you
expect? So many of the supplements on the market are ineffective either due to
low potency levels, or, they simply do not contain what is stated on the label.
Even worst, many supplements can have dangerously high levels of contaminants
due to relaxed regulatory regulations governing the manufacture of dietary
supplements. There is some interesting information available on this subject. If
you take supplements we would recommend you check out this info by clicking

Don’t forget your daily fish oil for your entire family. You can find omega 3 fish oil, molecularly distilled, free of impurities and sent anywhere in the World at low reasonable price,
