Krill Oil and Headaches
by Krista

I have never had any problems with fish oil and have taken it for quite some time. I recently heard about krill oil and decided to switch. After I started taking the krill oil I began having really bad headaches.
I am not normally prone to headaches and the first time I just brushed it off as one of the few I get a year but then day after day I got them and the only thing I did differently was the krill oil.
I stopped taking it and they stopped happening completely. I have no allergies to shellfish and consume it all the time with no problems. Is there something in krill oil that causes headaches in certain people or does it mix badly with other supplements or medications that I need to know about?
Thanks.
Answer:
Almost anything can produce a headache reaction but that does not mean that all krill oils are going to give your headache back
Krill oil has additional qualities over the regular fish oil, as its strong antioxidant properties. I would recommend you stay with the krill oil if you can. If you switch brand names, probably you can find one that will not give you the headaches.
