Hi, would omega 3 help me? I have a very itchy scalp, no dandruff, no scale, no sores, just itchy and my hair seems to be in good condition otherwise. The itch is mostly at night, I have tried every kind of shampoo, nothing works.
This has been for many years but it seems to be getting more frequently now. Looking for a solution. thank you B
Answer:
Hello Betty. I would certainly recommend fish oil for your itchy scalp. Omega 3 is a great anti inflammatory agent, one of the best known. One of the first reaction to a proper omega 6 /omega 3 ratio is that your hair, skin and nails became healthier, more alive. Please, read Fish Oil and Hair
But there are 2 things you should care when you try to improve your omega 6 / Omega 3 ratio in order to get the benefits fish oil can bring. You have to take the proper amounts of omega 3 and second you should reduce the amounts of omega 6 fats.
How do you do that? Please read the following:

Finally, you should read this Hair Care
Best wishes.

P.S. One Essential nutrient may be completely missing from our diets today, omega 3 fats. Omega 3 fats are essential for our hearts, minds and entire body. In fact, every cell of our organism needs omega 3 to work at its prime.
For the last 30 years, hundreds of clinical studies have documented the benefits of omega 3 fish oil. Even the conservative American Heart Association (AHA) recommends it for people with risks of cardiovascular disease.
The situation is that it is difficult to get the proper amounts of fish oil without risking dangerous contamination, if you want to take it from your diet.
As an answer to that need, we offer molecularly distilled fish oil that comes from deep water fish, Hoki, a deep sea fish naturally high in DHA and unique to New Zealand. The oil is refined through extensive molecular distillation processes to remove any form of contamination. Click here to learn more .
