How much omega 3
I currently take 2 capsules rated at 410mg EPA and 274mg DHA. Bringing a total of 820 EPA and 548DHA. How much fish oil can the body use?
As well, I also take a large multivitamin and green tea extract at the same time. Is everything able to be used properly by my body? Can my body even utilize this amount or am I wasting some of it??

Answer:
John: you are taking a total of 1.368 mg of omega 3 fatty acids. That is a rather small – medium dosage of omega 3. You don’t say why you are taking it but if it is as a preventive measure, I will say it is OK if you are at your ideal weight and have no chronic diseases like hypertension, obesity, diabetes, etc.
Some people is reported to take mega doses over 20.000 mg of fish oil per day with no ill effects. High doses, close to 10.000 mg of fish oil are used for ADHD and depression.
