How Many Fish Oil Capsules For Me

by Chrissy
(Nv)

I've just started a 90% fruit/veggie diet which also includes yogurt, salmon and lean chicken a few days a week. I'm going to start working out after I've given my system a couple of days to gat used to my new diet. I was thinking about picking up a bottle of fish oil capsules.

¿ How many fish oil capsules should I take each day w/ exercise?

Thanks.

Answer:

If you are not overweight, have hypertension or diabetes, you should take around 900 mg per day of omega 3 fatty acids, EPA plus DHA (it should be indicated in the label. If not, don’t buy it).

That is close to 3.000 mg or 3x 1.000 mg capsules of fish oil. You don´t say how much omega 3 is in each capsule you are buying. That is the minimum quantity I recommend for a healthy person. It doesn’t change if you do some exercise or not.

You can take them any time of the day, before or after meals, one by one or at the same time. No problem…

Please, read Omega 3 Dosage

Good luck,

Alfredo E.
