High Triglyceride - Will Omega 3 Lower My Triglycerides?

High Triglyceride: My doctor told me that my triglycerides are very high, like 400 and she advice me to take fish oil tablets. What do you advice to do to lower it? Thanks for your help.

Many people believe, including some doctors, that high triglycerides are produced by a high fat diet….Wrong. It is a consequence of a high omega 6 diet (starches, cakes, sodas, sweets, grains, etc). If you want to lower your triglycerides there are 3 things to do ( fool proof method)
1-Lower your omega 6 load. The most important factor.
2-Exercise everyday 20 minutes at a high intensity level
3-Take 3.000-6.000 mg per day of fish oil (equivalent to 900- 1.800 mgs of omega 3 fats) and check your triglycerides in a month, adjusting accordingly the dosage of omega 3.
High triglyceride is one of the first steps to become fat or diabetic, be careful.
Regarding high cholesterol, the above change in eating and exercise habits will improve your cholesterol profile. Meaning you HDL will increase and your triglycerides will decrease. But best of all, your life outlook will improve because of the exercise and low omega 6 diet.
Elevated triglycerides is the body’s answer to high omega 6 food ingestion. What are those omega 6 foods? Basically all carbohydrates. That is to say, sugars, grains and all their oils, vegetables and fruits.
Since we need vegetables for its richness in vitamins and oligoelements, and for its low carbohydrate content, we should keep eating them. The same for some fruits, although there are some with high carbohydrate and sugar content, that would be desirable to eat in small amounts.
However, sugars, grains and their oils, that is sugar in all forms, cakes, pasta, soy, rice, corn, potatoes, breads in all its forms, etc., are saturated with carbohydrates (Omega 6). They overload the body with Omega 6, which unbalance the Omega 6/ Omega 3 ratio.
We must maintain an Omega 6/omega 3 ratio near 1. It is the ideal for the optimal body operation, free of degenerative diseases. That is important to remember.
