Groin Pain and Fish OIl

by mary
(ireland)

Hi, after taking fish oil for 2 months I’ve been getting a pain in my groin on and off throughout the day, every day…..it feels like the first day of my period.. Wondering could it be related to fish oil?

I’m taking 3520mg fish oil, dha-epa combined 1920mg... Actually also I’ve been getting mouth ulcers just before my period for the last 3 months.. The last time, which was last week, I counted 9 under my tongue alone and i hadn’t got them for years up to this.

Please help...

Answer:

What I suggest is to eliminate the possibilities fish oil is causing any of these symptoms by stopping your fish oil supplementation for at least 2 weeks, and see any changes. Then restart fish oil supplementation to see if symptoms come back.

I may also be related to some allergic reaction, maybe some foods, probably grains of some sort.

Best wishes,

Alfredo E.
