Fatty Acids - Sources of Good Fats
"saturated fat has always been in the human diet, our body is designed for it. Not for Omega 6 oils and grains"

Question: Fatty Acids. Since I started really cleaning up my diet I'm finding it hard to get enough fat in my daily breakdown. Do you have any good recommendations? By Hates Answer: Fatty Acids. Basically, the idea is to get our diet as close as possible to that of the palolithic man.(Before fire and agriculture). The paleo diet has some saturated fat( at the time cattle was not feed with grains but pasture), enough omega 6 fat by having a few vegetable and fruits( there was no agriculture, so no grains, breads, sugary foods, sodas, vegetable oils, they are all overloaded with omega 6), lots of omega 3( from fish, meat loaded with omega 3, eggs), different types of nuts and seeds. Don't skimp on protein. The protein you eat is used to help rebuild and repair muscle. Clinical studies have repeatedly shown that those involved in regular training require higher amounts than sedentary folks. Eat a nutrient-dense diet. In addition to protein, a healthy body requires vitamins, minerals, trace elements, and essential fatty acids. You won't find these nutrients in refined carbohydrates, refined vegetable oils, and the highly processed foods and beverages that contain them. These foods deliver an abundance of calories but are woefully insufficient in providing important micronutrients. Instead, start eating a Paleo-style diet based upon the nutrient-packed fresh foods that allowed humans to evolve: meats, eggs, seafood, non-cereal plant foods (especially green and yellow/orange vegetables), and nuts. No matter how meticulous your dietary habits, I strongly recommend you consider supplementing your diet with fish oil, some extra magnesium, and a good multivitamin/mineral formula that includes selenium. One Essential nutrient may be completely missing from our diets today, omega 3 fats. Omega 3 fats are essential for our hearts, minds and entire body. In fact, every cell of our organism needs omega 3 to work at its prime. For the last 30 years, hundreds of clinical studies have documented the benefits of omega 3 fish oil. Even the conservative American Heart Association (AHA) recommends it for people with risks of cardiovascular disease. The situation is that it is difficult to get the proper amounts of fish oil without risking dangerous contamination, if you want to take it from your diet. As an answer to that need, we offer molecularly distilled fish oil that comes from deep water fish, Hoki, a deep sea fish naturally high in DHA and unique to New Zealand. The oil is refined through extensive molecular distillation processes to remove any form of contamination. Click here to learn more .
