Fish Oil, Acid Reflux And Knee Pain

Hi,
I started taking fish oil for my knee injury. I had to take 9 tablets daily. After taking few days I started to have acid reflux. When I stop taking it, I felt better, so I knew that it was the fish oil causing that trouble. Also it did not help with my knee pain.
Thanks,
Saima.
Answer:
Saima, 9 fish oil tables to start supplementing could be a big load for many stomachs. It should be done one pill at the time to let your system get used to the new situation. You could start with one fish oil capsule for 3 days, if you have no side effects symptoms, add another capsule for 3 days and so on.
Omega 3 fats are anti-inflammation agents that will help to lower chronic inflammation in all of your body cells but it not the only factor that can get your knees inflamed. Your diet could have a lot of pro-inflammatory omega 6 fats. Basically, all grains and grain oils you buy at the supermarket add to your inflammation. If you change to an omega 3 diet , you will have more possibilities to succeed.
Exercise is another variable in your knee pain. Exercise is also anti-inflammatory and may contribute to your overall wellbeing.
I also suggest you switch to liquid molecularly distilled fish oil, not only for better quality but to avoid taking so many capsules each day. You can buy it here

P.S. Don’t forget your daily omega 3 for your entire family. You can find omega 3 in Cod Liver Oil, Krill Oil and Fish Oil. They are molecularly distilled, free of impurities, and sent anywhere in the world at low reasonable price, Omega 3 Store
