Difference in Omega 3 From Vegetable and Animal Origin

by Susan
(Japan)

Hello,Is there a qualitative difference between flaxseed oil and fish oil as a source of omega 3?

Thank you,

Susan

Answer:

There is an enormous difference that is not well known and not much publicized either because many companies are selling “omega 3 for vegetarians”

Flaxseed oil (from vegetable origin) contains the omega 3 ALA (alpha linolenic acid) of which only about 5 to 10% is metabolized to the omega 3 DHA and EPA which provide all the omega 3 health benefits.

In other words flaxseed oil contains the wrong omega 3. The same applies to soybeans, soy milk, walnuts and all vegetable Omega 3

Fish oil contains DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) and EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) in the proportions of two parts of DHA to three parts of EPA and it is the omega 3 DHA that provides all the health benefits (from animal origin). Free range cattle is also a good source of healthy pro anti inflammatory omega 3 fatty acids

P.S. Don’t forget your daily fish oil for your entire family and always take along an antioxidant, like vitamin E, to prevent oxidation inside your body. You can find omega 3 fish oil, molecularly distilled, free of impurities sent anywhere in the World at low reasonable price, Click here

Does sunflower seeds oil contain omega 3?
by: Lyne

So that means olive oils sold in the market that have Omega 3, it can be from a plant origin?
Example, if it states sunflower seeds oil?

Answer:

No, olive oil is a vegetable oil with no omega 3 or omega 6 fats, it is only omega 9 or mono unsaturated oil. Good for your health if used at room temperature. It oxidizes fast at higher temperatures and should not be used for cooking.

Sunflower oil has a high omega 6 content with trans fats( very bad for your cardiovascular system), what you should be avoiding.
