Difference in Omega 3 From Vegetable and Animal Origin

Hello,Is there a qualitative difference between flaxseed oil and fish oil as a source of omega 3?
Thank you,
Susan
Answer:
There is an enormous difference that is not well known and not much publicized either because many companies are selling “omega 3 for vegetarians”
Flaxseed oil (from vegetable origin) contains the omega 3 ALA (alpha linolenic acid) of which only about 5 to 10% is metabolized to the omega 3 DHA and EPA which provide all the omega 3 health benefits.
In other words flaxseed oil contains the wrong omega 3. The same applies to soybeans, soy milk, walnuts and all vegetable Omega 3
Fish oil contains DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) and EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) in the proportions of two parts of DHA to three parts of EPA and it is the omega 3 DHA that provides all the health benefits (from animal origin). Free range cattle is also a good source of healthy pro anti inflammatory omega 3 fatty acids
