Lady with high triglycerides
I just received my blood test results. They say that Doctors want my triglyceride level under 150...Mine is 356. Any ideas of the proper food and exercise I could be doing?
I am sorry but this is a very difficult question for me to ask. I am a very sensitive about this matter.

Answer:
You don’t say how much you weigh, what diet you follow or how much exercise you practice.
Cardiovascular exercise and low carbohydrate diets are good for reducing triglyceride levels. Also, Omega-3 fatty acids from fish or other sources (on the order of 5 grams of omega-3 per day).
Other measures you could add are: one or several grams of niacin (mega-dose vitamin B-3) per day and some statins to reduce triglyceride levels.
That is a quick review of what you can do to lower your triglycerides. I recommend getting them under 100, not 150 for better protection and I would not recommend statines for its side effects though they are very effective.

P.S. Don’t forget your daily fish oil for your entire family. You can find omega 3 fish oil, molecularly distilled, free of impurities sent anywhere in the World at low reasonable price, Click here
The ‘standard’ medical solution for high cholesterol is to prescribe a statin drug. Whereas these are generally effective in lowering cholesterol…some people pay a price…in side effects! These can range from damaged livers, muscle aches and even impotency. You may want to check this information.
