The benefits to exercise are very important for any person alive. Nevertheless, many of us go through live as if exercise
was a sin or something very strange to human nature, something to be avoided at all costs.

In some cultures, to do any kind of physical activity is seen as low social status and has been avoided by medium and high social classes.
Benefits to Exercise - Exercise Prescription.
Exercise is more important as you get older, as you become sick of any degenerative disease or are overweight. Youth may have evolutionary reasons for movement but the older are rarely healthy enough to avoid exercising.
They need exercise in heavy doses in order to overcome their disorders.

Exercise, like any drug, has to be taken at certain doses, with certain frequency and for a certain period of time in order to get all the benefits to exercise. It should be done for 45-60 minutes, every day (may take a day off), at a medium high intensity(difficulty to carry a conversation). This is more important if you are overweight, have hypertension, diabetes, high triglycerides or high cholesterol.
That is the formula to get the benefits to exercise; very simple but difficult to accomplish if you haven’t done much in the last decades. We should be committed to it for the rest of our lives since health depends on it. That is why I recommend using several routines, not the same exercise every day. Otherwise, you will quit very soon.
Exercise has to bring pleasure, satisfaction in order to persevere. Otherwise we will quit after a few weeks. Look for 2 activities that you like (or don’t dislike as much, at the beginning)
If you understand what we are saying here, in the future you will not accommodate exercise in you daily schedule, if you have time. No, you will accommodate your daily activities around exercise, since you know its importance for your health
You have to be patient, it takes time to get used to exercise but eventually you will love it. You go thru several stages, unbelievable how people can enjoy this torture, acceptance, feeling of satisfaction, love for your sport.
It is something like beer or whisky. When you first tried you couldn’t believe some lunatics could enjoy this terrible taste. Then, you would have one to keep your friends company. Later you develop the taste for it. But you would have never appreciated it unless you have forced yourself to do it. The same with exercise and sports.

The above list could mean nothing to some people when they are young, healthy and have never been active. But once you start to get older or have been sick with a degenerative disease, you start to listen. Better not wait until that moment and start getting the benefits to exercise NOW.
