Yes, it will make a big difference.

Contrary to what many people believe, dietary fat do not increase the acne problem. What really increases your acne problem is your high omega 6 diet (pro inflammatory diet) with lot of sodas, sugars, cakes, pasta, rice, bread, etc., everything that comes from grains.

All body cells have a membrane. Each membrane is mainly made of essential fats, or essential fatty acids, Omega 6 and Omega 3. If the membrane has too much Omega 6, it becomes hard, viscous and there are problems for food, energy and hormone transfer.

When Omega 3 is sufficient the membrane is thinner, less viscous, more elastic, less inflamed. Too much 3 Omega and the membrane “drips”. Too much Omega 6 and is clogged. It has been established that the appropriate Omega 6/Omega 3 ratio is near 1:1. In our modern life this ratio has changed to around 20:1, and some times up to 50:1. We eat too much Omega 6. Nourishment resulting from too much Omega 6, our cellular membranes are heavy, inelastic and the cellular function is slow. The body must do more work to feed itself and to remove toxins. Tissues are plugged up and they become inflamed. Inflammation is the main symptom of many diseases, from heart disease , arthritis, allergies, acne and the list goes on and on.

Omega 3 deficiency is also related to diseases like diabetes and thyroid dysfunction. If your membranes are slow, your body must produce more insulin to be able to put sugars into cells to produce energy. The, you become more insulin resistant. If your pancreas is inflamed it will be more difficult to produce the insulin your body is demanding.

Omega 3 (anti inflammatory) acts on every cell of your body balancing the effect of the omega 6. It will make a difference if you take the adequate amount of omega 3( minimum 3.000 mg of fish oil) and if you lower your omega 6 ingestion.

That is the reason to supplement with omega 3, our diets have 20 to 50 times less omega 3 that what our body needs in order to have a balance omega 6/ omega 3 ratio.
